Terms of Service.

Kalnov provides:

• Free invoicing tools. Create, send, and track invoices with an unlimited number of clients.
• A paid tier ($9/month) that unlocks payment scores for companies in our dataset.
• A public score dataset derived from public filings and from data contributed by our users.

We may change the features included at either tier with reasonable notice.

• You must provide accurate information at signup and keep it current.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account.
• One person or business per account.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that materially breaches these terms. We will explain the reason and give you a chance to respond, except where doing so would enable further breach.

You may not:

• Scrape, bulk-download, mirror, or resell the score dataset. Automated queries against the score views beyond normal individual use are prohibited (and rate-limited technically at 500 lookups per hour for the paid tier).
• Submit invoice or payment data you know to be false in order to influence a company’s score.
• File disputes in bad faith or on behalf of a company you don’t represent.
• Use the service to harass, threaten, or defame anyone.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive our source code.

• The paid tier is $9/month, billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
• Prices are quoted inclusive of applicable VAT where required.
• Payment failures are handled by Stripe’s standard retry cycle. If payment is not received after two retries, score access is downgraded to the free tier and your account otherwise continues.

• You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep score access until then.
• Cancellation is available with the same number of steps as signup, per EU Directive 2019/2161.
• We do not provide refunds for partial months once a billing period has begun, except where required by mandatory consumer law. This does not affect any statutory right of withdrawal you may have.

• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.
• On deletion we cancel any active subscription, delete your Stripe record, remove your login and business details, and scrub your client contact information. Invoice and payment records that contribute to company scores are retained in anonymised form. See the privacy policy for detail.

• Scores are derived from public payment filings and from freelancer-contributed invoice data.
• Scores are informational and do not constitute financial advice, a credit reference, or a recommendation to enter or avoid any business relationship.
• We take reasonable care with the data but do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or currency.
• Companies whose scores are published may dispute them via our disputes process.

• You retain ownership of the invoices, client records, and other content you create.
• You grant us the licence necessary to host and display that content to you, and to derive anonymous aggregate statistics for the score dataset as described in the privacy policy.
• You confirm you have the right to submit any personal data about your clients that you provide to us.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) fees paid by you in the twelve months before the claim arose or (b) US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these terms. When we do, the last-updated date at the top of this page changes and the updated terms take effect immediately for new sessions and 30 days later for existing users. Please check back periodically.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The Hong Kong courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service.

The above is subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. Nothing in these terms deprives a consumer of protections that cannot be waived under the law of their habitual residence.
